  • At Homespun we are here to serve, so our clients can gather. Our team must be always looking out for and predicting the needs of others. We love creating memorable gatherings that allow guests to experience quality service, impeccable food, and great conversation. The ideal candidate will have a servant's heart, a strong work ethic, a love for hospitality, and a friendly (yet professional) personality.

    Our servers are currently in contract positions, creating the perfect opportunity to earn extra income working the nights or weekends you’re available. Compensation starts at $20/hr, plus tipping.

    JOB DUTIES

    As a member of the Hospitality Team, your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    -Assists the Event Lead in preparing space for gathering by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, utensils, etc.

    -Protects company and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and beverage policies.

    -Assist guests by answering food preparation questions.

    -Keeps the culinary team informed by noting the timing of meal progression.

    -Respond to additional client requirements by inquiring of needs; and observing the dining process.

    -Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; and being alert to special needs.

    -Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Homespun is seeking an individual with the gift of administration and a heart for hospitality. The ideal candidate for this role must be detail-oriented, driven to achieve goals, outgoing, personable, and willing to take initiative. Someone who is a multi-tasker and self-starter who can bring new ideas and commitment to see them to fruition is vital for this role. Working closely with our Director of Operations and Hospitality Team to support clients during the booking and planning process

    This is a part-time, non-exempt position, working approximately 15-25 administrative hours/week with an hourly rate starting at $20/hour, depending on experience. The hybrid role requires work out of our West Marietta/Cobb office, Upper Westside Kitchen, and personal home office (remote). Personal, reliable transport is required. This individual will also have the opportunity to work our off-site gatherings in the Metro Atlanta area as an Event Lead to earn additional income.

    The ideal candidate has experience planning and executing events, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a people-first mentality with a strong work ethic, and a team player. A passion and understanding of fine dining and food is a plus. The ability to integrate into the Homespun culture and represent the company outside of scheduled shifts is a must.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    -Learn the Homespun communications and planning process with all prospective and existing clients

    -Professionally present the company by proofreading communications, maintaining a friendly tone, and anticipating clients’ questions/needs

    -Reply to client emails/event inquiries within 24 hours during the workweek

    -Ability to build rapport with clients while collecting details to properly quote inquiries

    -Work with the Hospitality Team on invoicing, scheduling event staff, and communicating with the Culinary Team on menus and dietary needs

    -Assist in maintaining inventory of gathering supplies (i.e. paper goods, serving utensils, presentation dishes, etc.)

    -Assist in maintaining an organized inventory room and work area

CULINARY TEAM

  • We are looking for a professional Sous Chef who will work as the second in command in our kitchen. The successful candidate will follow the specifications and guidelines provided by our Executive Chef and utilize their culinary and managerial skills to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

    To be considered for this position, the candidate must have prior experience in a fine dining establishment. They must also possess strong leadership skills to mentor and train staff, as well as handle administrative duties. The candidate must have an uncompromising work ethic, a stellar track record, a genuine passion for hospitality and cooking, meticulous attention to detail, and must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    The Sous Chef is an essential member of our team who must be a multi-tasker and self-starter, with an energetic and friendly personality. They must be willing and able to work as part of a cohesive team and support colleagues, regardless of their role. This industry can be fast-paced, so the ability to change gears seamlessly, creatively improvise, and work well as a team is crucial.

    This position is based in our Upper Westside Kitchen and involves preparation duties as well as on-site work at events throughout the Metro Atlanta area. A personal, reliable means of transportation is required.

    Schedule: This is a full-time, exempt position with preparation hours usually taking place between 9 am and 5 pm from Tuesday through Saturday, though exact hours may vary based on event schedules. The individual in this role typically works an average of two events per week. Night and weekend availability is required, but the schedule is flexible and includes some nights off, unlike typical restaurant commitments.

    Compensation: The base salary for this position is $45K - $60K annually, depending on experience. In addition, the role includes paid vacation, a paid holiday schedule, mileage and parking reimbursements, discretionary bonuses, and event gratuity tipping.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    -Assisting in the creation of seasonal menus.

    -Preparing a daily prep list for the culinary team.

    -Overseeing the preparation for events.

    -Ensuring that quality standards are met.

    -Managing inventory.

    -Training and managing team members.

    -Following and enforcing health and safety standards.

    -Communicating effectively with team members.

    REQUIREMENTS

    -At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role and 3 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen.

    -Restaurant experience is necessary.

    -Excellent communication skills are a must.

    -Proven track record of successfully leading during stressful situations.

    -Proficiency in computer software such as G Suite and other related restaurant tools is preferred.

    -Passion for preparing great food and drink, while practicing authentic hospitality.

    -Desire to integrate into the Homespun culture and represent the company outside of scheduled shifts.

    -Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

    -Physical requirements include the ability to handle and carry trays, small wares, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 lbs, standing, walking up and down stairs, and exerting well-paced mobility for an extended time.

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starter individual with excellent cooking skills and great people skills to join our team as an Event Chef. This is an exciting position for those who strive for excellence in cooking and hospitality, and enjoy working with high-end cuisine.

    This is a part-time, non-exempt position with flexible hours based on event schedules. Hourly rate of $25-30, based on experience. Hours fluctuate heavily based on the season, and weeknight and weekend availability is required. This position is based in our Upper Westside Kitchen and involves preparation duties as well as on-site work at events throughout the Metro Atlanta area. A personal, reliable means of transportation is required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    - At least 3 years of experience in a food-related field such as a restaurant, hotel, or catering.

    - At least 3 years of leadership experience in a kitchen setting.

    - Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

    - Excellent people skills. The ideal candidate should be a talented cook with a natural knack for hospitality and building rapport with clients.

    - Proficient in computer software such as G Suite and other related restaurant tools.

    - Passionate about preparing great food and drink while practicing authentic hospitality.

    - Desire to integrate into the Homespun culture and represent the company outside of scheduled shifts.

    - Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

    - Physical requirements include the ability to handle and carry trays, small wares, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 lbs, standing, walking up and down stairs and uneven terrain, and exerting well-paced mobility for an extended time.

    - Ability to work independently.

    - A culinary school degree is a plus, but not required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Work with our Culinary Team on the preparation at our Upper Westside Kitchen leading up to events.

    - Act as the Event Lead Chef for off-site bookings in private homes and event spaces on 1-2 nights per week.

    - Maintain inventory of event supplies, equipment, etc.

    - Handle all pre-event preparation, including packing event equipment and supplies.
